Abraham Shafer, one of our most respected German citizens, died on the 10 inst. after a very painful and protracted illness. A post mortem examination by Dr.'s Rankin and Cassingham disclosed an enormous enlargement of the spleen as the cause of death. A very rare and extraordinary case. His funeral was largely attended at the German church in Roberts on Sunday last.
