Roy Herbert Edwards

Roy Herbert Edwards, son of Newton F. and Myrtle M. (Stonebraker) Edwards, was born at Roberts Illinois, October 27, 1905, and died at his home here Sunday evening, April 16, 1926, aged 20 years, 5 months and 22 days.
Roy was a strong, healthy child until his seventh year when he had a very severe illness which left him an invalid ever after. Although he has been a great care to his parents and brothers and sisters, his appreciation of the care given him was such as to repay all that attention, and all that loving hands could do was done for him during these years. There are left to mourn his early departure besides his parents, three brothers and eight sisters as follows: Mrs. Walter Regby and Miss Alta of Chicago, and Charles, Myrtle, Claude, Mildred, Dellamae, Frances, Nona, Lillian and Cleo who are still at home. He also leaves his grandmother Mary Stonebraker of Roberts and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held at the M. E. Church at 2:00 yesterday afternoon, Rev. John T. Killip officiating. The remains were than laid to rest in Lyman Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Regby and Miss Alta Edwards and several other relatives and friends from Chicago, Kankakee and other places attended the funeral.
