ROBERTS CITIZEN IS DEAD
Joseph Whorrall, aged 82 years and 2 months, passed away at his home in Roberts, Ill,. Ford county, on Sunday night at 8 o'clock, following an extended illness which lasted for several months. Mr. Whorrall leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his loss. The children are: Edwin, of Meadows, Ill.; James William, of Emmett, Idaho; Miles, of Babel, Ind.; Walter, of Melvin; Charles, of Manteno; Henry A.. of Onarga; Mary Elizabeth Roberts, of Roberts, and Sarah (?) H. Foster, of Roberts. One son, Joseph, passed away in 1907.
Mr. Whorrall came from England to this country when he as a lad of 22 (?) years, and he located near El Paso, Ill., where the broke the raw (?) and established a home. Later he came to Ford county and purchased a farm near Roberts, which he owned at the time of his death. The friends join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the house. Rev. (?) officiating.
