Mrs. Jane Kniland [sic] died at her home in Roberts Wednesday, December 26,1917, aged 77 years, 11 months, and 21 days. The funeral service will be held at the home Friday, December 28, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. D. G. DuBoise officiating. Interment in Lyman cemetery.

Jane Robinson, oldest daughter of George Robinson and Margaret (Simpson) Robinson, was born at Killater Bridge, County Tyrone, Ireland, January 5th, 1840 and died at her home in Roberts, Illinois, December 26, 1917, at 11:45 a.m. at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
Her family moved to the town of Killater when she was three years old. she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church there when a young girl and had been an active worker in the church until she was confined to her home. She has been an invalid with heart disease for nineteen years and has been a patient sufferer.
She was married at 10 o'clock December 16th, 1863 to Robert Knilands in the Episcopal Church at Killater. They came to America in the spring of 1864 to Peoria County, near Alta Illinois, where they farmed until moving to Ford county on Feb. 6, 1879. There they farmed for five years, and then moved to Roberts.
To this union were born six children, Isabella, Thomas George, Margaret E., M. Jennie, Robert A. and Charles R. One son Thomas George died January 7, 1882 and one daughter, M. Jennie, died September 4, 1893. The surviving children were all present at her death. Her husband was accidently [sic] killed July 19, 1884.
The last few weeks of her life were attended with great suffering for the relief of which everthing [sic] possible was done.
She leaves two sisters in Ireland Isabella, wife of James Armstrong and Eliza, wife of Richard Semple. Her brother Thomas died when a young man, and her parents have been dead many years.
The community extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved children.
