Mrs. William Roetzel Jr.
Lillian Maud Treusdell was born in Chicago, Illinois, January 6, 1887, and died at her home near Roberts Illinois January 8, 1920, aged 33 years and two day.s She grew to womanhood in Chicago. October 3, 1906, she was married to William Roetzel Jr. of Roberts and has lived here since. To this union were born six children, Myrtle, May, Jessie, Floyd, Harold and Vira, all of who survive her.
Mrs. Roetzel was a true and devoted wife and mother, a kind neighbor ever thoughtful of others. She was ever patient and forbearing and her character was such that it endeared her, not only to her family but to all with whom she associated. She leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband and children already mentioned, her father, Marcus Truesdell, one brother Samual Truesdell of Onarga, three sisters, Mrs. Edna Thorsell of California, Mrs. Bessie Nix of Chicago, and Mrs. J.P. Kief of Roberts, besides numerous other relatives and a host of friends who join the bereaved family in sorrow.
The deceased, early in life, became a member of the Diversy Street Evangelical Church in Chicago and always remained a member of that Faith.
The funeral services were held at the United Evangelical Church of Roberts, Sunday, January 11th, Rev. Charles Wunch, pastor, officiating. The remains were then laid to rest in Lyman cemetery.
