Faye Elizabeth Shambrook, daughter of James R. and Nellie M. (Taylor) Shambrook was born in Lake Shore District, Lyman Township, August 11, 1901, and departed this life at her home in Germanville, seven miles northwest of Roberts, Monday, July 31st, 1922, aged 20 years, 11 months, and 20 days. she was married to Samuel J. Patton, Thursday, January 1, 1920. To Mr. and Mrs. Patton was born one son which died at time of birth just one week before the mother's death.
The deceased was a young woman of very liable qualities. She was an obedient daughter, a kind wife and a light in the home. She was held in high esteem by all with whom she came in contact. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of South Brenton and was active in the cause. She was a member of the Pythian Sister Temple and her everyday life was such as to exemplify the work of the order.
The funeral service was held this afternoon at the Congregational Church in Roberts, Rev. Samual Johnson of Piper City and Rev. William Hainsworth of Roberts officiating. She was then laid to rest in Lyman Cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of the Pythian Sisters Temple 229 of which she was an honored member. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved husband, the parents, the brother and sisters in their sorrow.
